We've spent the last two days in Edinburgh. It's been reasonably rainy but we did get out to see a few sights.

We've spend the last 3 days in north-east Scotland with relatives - Ellen and Henry Bruce. They have a beautiful house about near a small town called Turriff which we toured out from each day.

Yesterday was our "bonus" day. The idea was that we were going to take our rented Renault Twingo, and visit as many countries as possible. First you have to meet the Twingo... golfcart that goes 140 km/h... It took us two days to figure out how to put it in reverse.

Well we spent the last two days in Epernay and just travelled from there via car to Bastogne, Belgium.

Anyway, our last day in Paris we visited the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and did some night tours.

Somehow Andrea managed to take the same number of pictures today as yesterday! 165! Thankfully we won't post anywhere near that many.

We made it... no thanks to London Heathrow... other than that and a little miscommuncation on the train we arrived alright.

Where I work we have a very advanced and intricate enterprise framework to build our application on. Over the past 6 months we've seen a certain emergence of application knowledge in our framework that I'm not entirely sure I understand. Assemblies such as SOA and TitaniumDataAccess provide extremely usefull functionality but are deeply rooted in a number of applications which makes you wonder on how much they really should be in framework... after all Framework is about more than adding an assembly reference and having intellisense.
