Yesterday was our "bonus" day. The idea was that we were going to take our rented Renault Twingo, and visit as many countries as possible. First you have to meet the Twingo... golfcart that goes 140 km/h... It took us two days to figure out how to put it in reverse.

We left Bastogne, and found our way north to a city in Germany called Aachen. Keep in mind that we arrived on a sunday so the only things open were internet cafe's and peep shows.

We then headed west in the direction of a city called Maastricht in the Netherlands. BUT! There are probably 50 towns between these two cities as well as the American Cemetary, and the memorial day events are going on so there's a million cars.
So over the course of the next couple hours we get hopelessly lost in a sea of small towns without connections to major highways and it isn't until we find the one open gas station with an attendant that speaks english that we get back on track.

We strumbled into Brussels last night and walked over to an area called the Grand Place. It's this amazing square with old buildings on all sides and they had a Jazz marathon going on in the center. We'll head out today to try and explore some more before we head to Aberdeen tommorow.
